Ya full o' shit, ya full o' shit!
I saw this movie one day when i was up at 5:00 in the morning, IDK why I was up that late, but I guess it was kinda divinely destined that I see this. I'm trying to show it at my school sometime this month.

I cannot believe this!!
Sadly, Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, of Clevelend, Ohio has been hospitalized. She suffered an aneurysm on Tuesday night, while driving. Police found her unconscious in her car, and the hospital reported that they would take her off life support this afternoon.
Rep Tubbs Jones was the first Black woman elected to represent Ohio in the US Congress, and when Democrats seized control of congress, Speaker Pelosi named her the Chair of the House Ethics Committee and she was an ardent support of Hillary Clinton in her capacity as superdelegate. Rep. Tubbs Jones's family is in my prayers.

are they both giving speeches??
So there was a story released last month stating that Sen. Clinton would give the keynote speech at the Democratic national Convention in Denver.
and today, there was a story on all the cable news channels that Fmr. Pres. Clinton would give a speech at the convention...IDK which is correct, if either is correct...I guess we shall see in a few weeks...

Finally, we have a resolution...maybe it'll end soon!!!! (let's hope!!!)
The DRBC has finally decided to award FL and MI all of their delegates, with half a vote each. I think this is good, but it gets deeper: the FL delegates are awarded on the basis of the January Primary(this pleased Clintonites, Obamaniacs weren't upset) and the MI delegates were apportioned with Clinton getting 69 to Obama's 59. Of course the Clintonites were upset, and she reserved her right to appeal to the DNC Credentials Committee, but they don't meet until the Convention in Denver in August. I hope it doesn't go that far, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Today, Clinton wiped the floor with Obama in Puerto Rico, but I really don't care what they think, they aren't able to vote in the general election(thank GOD!!! They are constantly electing Republicans!!!!) she won with over 60% of the vote with 93% of precincts reporting. I cannot wait until Wednesday, there will be no more primaries...only the superdelegates to decide who they want. Prayerfully they will do it sooner rather than later...b/c at this point, i don't even care who the nominee is as long as it isn't Mike Gravel...he's as crazy as a pet 'Coon!!!
Obama left Trinity, and it's about time...but he left about twenty years too late!!! I hope I get to meet him this summer...I doubt that I will, but he does have interns thorough the CBC, so maybe I'll get a chance. I hope him being a member of the CBC isn't gonna come back and bite him in the butt!!! he might wanna drop out now, that way folks don't misconstrue his membership...I would understand him withdrawing...he's trying to offend as few people as possible...and we are a very understanding people(when we wanna be!!!)

Let's resolve this please!!!
On Saturday, May 31, 2008, The Democratic Party Rules and Bylaws Committee(DRBC) will meet to decide the fate of the delegations from Michigan and Florida to the Democratic National Presidential Nominating Convention. The lawyers for the Democratic National Committee(DNC) have come to the conclusion that the DRBC can only seat half of the delegations. The DRBC is, however, free to decide whether they want to seat the whole delegation with 1/2 votes, or just half of the delegates. The DRBC is also at liberty to decide about the votes of the FL & MI Superdelegates: Whether the Superdelegates get their votes as a whole group, or if they will only have half their number present(at least that's what I think I heard and read). I also believe that the DRBC decides in what proportion the delegates will be apportioned to the candidates.
Also: A Florida court threw out a lawsuit Wednesday challenging the Democratic Party's decision not to seat delegates from Florida -- as litigants prepared to appeal the case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Political consultant Victor DiMaio and his lawyer Michael Steinberg had compared the party's decision to earlier prohibitions against allowing African-Americans to vote and invoked the trauma of the Florida recount in the 2000 contest between Al Gore and George W. Bush, both arguments also used by Hillary Clinton to support the seating of the state's delegates.
...
Judge Richard Lazarra sided with the party, saying political parties have the right to make their own rules.(the article can be found here)
I am going to try to get into the DRBC meeting, it is open to the public, but there are only day of credentials left, so I will be up early Saturday morning to get there and get a first hand view of the meeting outcome. That way I can know that what I'm writing is actually factual and not speculation.

You stinkin' LIBERAL!!!!
I just really don't understand why being called a liberal is an insult....could someone enlighten me? I read the comments on these articles about politics and it seems that the only "insult" people are able to hurl at Obama(besides naivete, and inexperience) is that he's the most liberal member of the senate. I always thought that was a good thing for Democrats, but now I'm seeing Clinton supporters upset by him being so liberal(and quite frankly, I don't think he's that liberal: there is no way he could have won in Iowa and come really close in Indiana if he was an ultra-liberal like myself!), find something else to complain about in regards to Mr. Obama.
And what is up with this whole GOP attack on Michelle Obama?? I mean they should have attacked Hillary Clinton, she was part of the Clinton administration. Mrs. Obama has made it clear that she will not be another Hillary Clinton(she hates politics, and she has no aspirations) and I really don't think her comments should have very much bearing on Obama's campaign. But I will say that she needs to stop overruling him in public, I mean i have read several articles about her just shutting him down in the middle of making a point, now that's fine in private, but not in public!!
And John McCain has lost several members of his campaign team. Obama seized upon the chance to paint McCain as nothing but "politic as usual": "The fact is, John McCain's campaign is being run by Washington lobbyists and paid for by their money," Obama argued Monday in Billings, Mont. — far from the Beltway. "I'm not in this race to continue the special interest-driven politics of the last eight years. I'm in this race to end it."
And in other news: Ellen is gonna get married to Portia de Rossi. YAY, Ellen!!!

The world is turning upside down...or is it???
Yesterday, California legalized gay marriage when the California Supreme Court ruled that a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has said that should the state legislature decide to amend the constitution, he would not support the amendment. California has once again gone against the mold, just as they did in the issue of interracial marriage, and in the words of San Francisco Mayor, Gavin Newsom, "...as California goes, so goes the nation..."
Also, The Democrats have picked up seats in three strong Republican-leaning districts:
Travis Childers (D) Mississippi 1st District
Don Cazayoux (D) Louisiana 6th District
The Democrats also picked up the seat held by Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert since 1986, the victor, BIll Foster, will represent Illinois's 14th Congressional District.
And the Energy Department has halted adding oil to the government's strategic oil supplies...but I have yet to see gasolne prices go down, and I don't expect to. The story I saw on CNN, said that the oil would be going to produce more diesel fuel, which could help to lower the prices of everyday products in the long run...we can only hope... I'me out!!

So...Wright has had a history of spewing hatred against Whites??

I found this picture while surfing the net, had no idea it existed! I don't think it makes Hillary a hypocrite, but it does raise questions about why she would bring up the Wright issue in the primary. Rev. Wright had visited the White House and she was there that day, but she isn't demonized by Bill shaking his hand! And why are people trying to infringe upon Rev Wright's right to free speech?? He can say whatever he wants, I don't understand how the ACLU can represent the Nazi when they wanna march in Skokie, Ill(read Jewish enclave), but not one person outside of Black America has the guts to defend him. This is so sad...and so what if he said "God Damn America?" I have heard people say worse things, and its not like his comments were completely off-base! WE (read the US) claim to fight wars to protect and restore the rights of non-citizens, some of whom say worse things about us, but we try ignore the injustice in our own country. We have a history of racism in this country, and I would venture to say that we still do, and we have to understand that people(both Black and White) feel very strongly about racism(whether they agree with it or not)! And I really don't understand why so many White People are "surprised" that he said that: Sunday is the most segregated day of the week!!! I'm sure that White churches have a history of perpetuating racist ideals(think Southern Baptist: it broke from the northern to protest the abolitionist movements, and the same happened with the other major White denominations), but I definitely don't think it affects White politicians in bad ways, I actually think it helps(in some cases)

Pennsylvania...nothing was resolved...so ON TO THE CONVENTION IN DENVER!!
Many people had hoped that the people in Pennsylvania would tell Hillary Clinton to drop out of the Democratic Presidential Nomination race, and yet she is still in the race! I personally don't have any issue with her staying in the race, it is her right to stay in the race as long as there is no obvious nominee(and neither has the 2024 delegates needed to secure it). I can also understand her dropping out...it took her husband until April to win the Nomination in 1992. And once he was declared the nominee, the party coalesced around him. I can only hope that feelings aren't hurt enough to prevent a reconciliation on the floor of the Convention. And I also hope that the Dems have learned from the McGovern mistake and are looking into the backgrounds of potential VPs, even if we don't have a nominee for Pres. yet. I would hate for the ticket be humiliated by something in the VP cand.'s past. But I would like for Clinton(1? 2? 3?) to really consider toning down the rhetoric, we don't need to tear our own candidate down before the other side does. And I wonder why so many Democrats think that there are these vast differences between the policy positions of the two candidates: they both have odd ideas of what universal healthcare(read mandatory insurance) should be, they both wanna get out of Iraq, they both see the value in diplomacy, and they both wanna get rid of tax cuts that hurt the economy more than they help. I have said this to say that people should be willing to vote for Obama if he is the nominee, I mean if Clinton bows out at the convention and endorses him, then accept it and hope for it another time. But I do stand by the statement I have made before, if Clinton doesn't overtake Obama in pledged delegates without poaching his delegates, and is selected by the superdelegates I will be changing my party affiliation and voting for Obama anyway as a write-in...and if that doesn't work...I'll vote for Nader just to make sure she knows she doesn't have a mandate from the people just because our representatives chose her. and I am also willing to vote for another person in my city's congressional primary if my congressman ignores the fact that Obama represents the voice of his constituents. The rationale for this decision is that one doesn't represent me if your ideas aren't in line with mine. Let me know your thoughts on the matter.

Hillary Clinton's Alleged Belittling of MLK, JR...Maybe, Maybe Not
I have no doubt that she has the greatest respect for Dr. King, and I'm sure Mrs. Clinton did not intend to belittle King's accomplishments. However, even assuming that's the case, her remarks send a message that "the people don't matter; it's the ones in power who get things done." And that is a bad, a VERY bad message to send. And hillary again gets the WTF?? Award...when will she learn?? you don't alienate people!! Kudos to New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, NYC Death Rate Hits All-Time Low.

The Way We Are...Hopefully One Day This Will Be The Way We WERE!!
Okay, so I'm sitting here watching "Lou Dobbs Tonight" with my buddies...and I can't help but think, "what is going on in this country????" I mean how can we cut funding to some of the biggest issues in the USA??? So Bush has cut funding to education, anti-drug programming, and any number of other social programs. But, I have to be fair, our Democratic Congress, with their mandate from the people, have NOT done all that they can to stop this lunatic.
I still try so hard to understand why people elected Bush again...you know, I can understand the first time. But TWICE????? Come on people! I sincerely believe that President Bush is doing his best to ruin the US before he leaves office. I can't believe that he really thinks that his choices are for the best, if he really does...all I can say is DAMN!!! He must really be stupid! This does not bode well for the US. We must be completely stupid, or maybe we're just too nice...you know wanting to give him another chance. Whatever the reason...get over it!! We have to do what is best for our country. Whether you are conservative or liberal, we have got to realize that the way things are is not going to cut it!
Why is it that the template of democracy is the democracy with the lowest voter turn out?? I mean people, get over your apathy...why be apathetic when you can be proactive?? If you don't like the way things are change them...and don't give me that my vote doesn't count crap. If your vote doesn't count, run for office...because I can guarantee there are others that agree with you! And look on the bright side, even if you don't win, at least you'll have brought your issue to the forefront...the establishment candidates may adopt your ideas...and when they fail to honor those commitments you can run and point out their flaws. Or, as Michael Moore says in Downsize This, just forget about the politicians and elect the special interests, I mean they run the country anyway...at least that way...we know what to look for from the get go, I mean why should they get rich off of us...let them suffer the way we do and let them work and be subject to the whims of the special interests, just like us. I mean since the voters don't have whims, they should be subject to someones whims.
Please respond, I love to dialogue!
