Ya full o' shit, ya full o' shit!

I saw this movie one day when i was up at 5:00 in the morning, IDK why I was up that late, but I guess it was kinda divinely destined that I see this. I'm trying to show it at my school sometime this month.

I cannot believe this!!

Sadly, Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, of Clevelend, Ohio has been hospitalized. She suffered an aneurysm on Tuesday night, while driving. Police found her unconscious in her car, and the hospital reported that they would take her off life support this afternoon.

Rep Tubbs Jones was the first Black woman elected to represent Ohio in the US Congress, and when Democrats seized control of congress, Speaker Pelosi named her the Chair of the House Ethics Committee and she was an ardent support of Hillary Clinton in her capacity as superdelegate. Rep. Tubbs Jones's family is in my prayers.

To Beijing we go!!!!

So the Olympic games are upon us, the Games of the XXIX Olympiad to be precise. it should be beyond exciting! I can't wait to root for our hometown(home country??) heroes and champions!! FYI: the US has the most Olympic Gold medals of any country. We actually have double the medals of our nearest rival!! Our best events are in Swimming and Track/field...so if nothing else...we can run, jump, throw, and swim!!!

DON'T forget to watch!!

are they both giving speeches??

So there was a story released last month stating that Sen. Clinton would give the keynote speech at the Democratic national Convention in Denver.

and today, there was a story on all the cable news channels that Fmr. Pres. Clinton would give a speech at the convention...IDK which is correct, if either is correct...I guess we shall see in a few weeks...

Is the Matrix real??

Okay, so I was surfing and ran into this crazy-ass John McCain ad...it got me thinking, is the Matrix real?? and if not, why do we need "The One"?? look at the video(below) and let me knwo what you think...

just a little something i found interesting

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

Yeah...I did it...

Well, today I took the step necessary to influence the presidency...I bought into the campaign...so I hope to get some face time (but not really, I couldn't afford to donate that much). So now...I can say whatever I want...because I have a vested interest in him maintaining his word and actually going through with what he said he would do!

Thursday, July 03, 2008

Young MAN!! Sir, sir...

So I am becoming more and more uncaring in this presidential race...I am not pleased with either candidate...McSame is a complete dick, so he needs no new words...just watch the videos posted below this post...you'll get the idea.

BHO...WTF?? you are killing me! I mean wasn't your whole thing that you showed better judgment because you were not willing to go along with the war in the first place...so now is it okay to call into question your judgment? I mean I understand your position, I actually am glad its your position, its just that you should have adopted it earlier on...and please, stop with this ultra-Christian thing...what is that??? I mean do you seriously think that churches need more input in the running of our government??? This intolerant government needs more input from intolerant Christians??(I happen to be a Christian, but i am by no means mainstream in my views at this stage of my life!!) Obama...you are moving further and further right every second and it scares me...I thought tha finally we had an unapologetic liberal running for president...where are Hillary and John-E?? They are clearly liberal...you ...are somewhat of an enigma..I mean, if you win I will still be coming to DC for the inauguration...but come on don't make me regret registering as a Dem...I mean I loved it when they called you the most liberal member of the Senate..I made my heart swell with pride!!

I really hope that I don't have to regret my vote against Clinton...fix this!! Choose a position and stick with it for the rest of the election...then change for your re-election bid...it worked for George Bush...it might work for you too!!

This is one dumb beast!!!!

He just can't remember what he's said!!!

So it's over?? It's Really Over!!!!

I can't believe it y'all, but it is finally over. He clinched it, her supporters are deserting her left and right, and now he is running things at the DNC...and both houses of Congress are supposed to be bringing to the floor bills that will help him look good, and McCain to look awfulllllllll!!!! YAY!!! But the question still remains, "now what??" what about those anti-Democrats who plan to vote for McCain if Clinton isn't the VP?? And in whose dreams is that a dream ticket...I swear I wake up drenched in sweat if I dream about it...seems more like a nightmare. It also would make Obama lose a lot of credit in my eyes!! I mean this is the couple that said that McCain would be a better POTUS that Obama...why would he want them in his White House?? and there is a such thing as too much diversity...I didn't decide it, but it is real!! But she is supposed to concede and endorse Obama tomorrow morning. BTW...I work in one of her superdelegate's office...it's pretty weird seeing your boss making comments about this issue...but it is so wonderful at the same time...guess whose trying to get a nice letter of Rec out the deal....I am!!! lol...ttyl....oh, yeah, Obama and Howard Dean(DNC Chairman) have decided that the DNC will not accept money from registered lobbyist(although he will take their money from other folks around them) I say go on ahead witcha bad self!!

Sunday, June 01, 2008

Finally, we have a resolution...maybe it'll end soon!!!! (let's hope!!!)

The DRBC has finally decided to award FL and MI all of their delegates, with half a vote each. I think this is good, but it gets deeper: the FL delegates are awarded on the basis of the January Primary(this pleased Clintonites, Obamaniacs weren't upset) and the MI delegates were apportioned with Clinton getting 69 to Obama's 59. Of course the Clintonites were upset, and she reserved her right to appeal to the DNC Credentials Committee, but they don't meet until the Convention in Denver in August. I hope it doesn't go that far, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Today, Clinton wiped the floor with Obama in Puerto Rico, but I really don't care what they think, they aren't able to vote in the general election(thank GOD!!! They are constantly electing Republicans!!!!) she won with over 60% of the vote with 93% of precincts reporting. I cannot wait until Wednesday, there will be no more primaries...only the superdelegates to decide who they want. Prayerfully they will do it sooner rather than later...b/c at this point, i don't even care who the nominee is as long as it isn't Mike Gravel...he's as crazy as a pet 'Coon!!!

Obama left Trinity, and it's about time...but he left about twenty years too late!!! I hope I get to meet him this summer...I doubt that I will, but he does have interns thorough the CBC, so maybe I'll get a chance. I hope him being a member of the CBC isn't gonna come back and bite him in the butt!!! he might wanna drop out now, that way folks don't misconstrue his membership...I would understand him withdrawing...he's trying to offend as few people as possible...and we are a very understanding people(when we wanna be!!!)

Let's resolve this please!!!

On Saturday, May 31, 2008, The Democratic Party Rules and Bylaws Committee(DRBC) will meet to decide the fate of the delegations from Michigan and Florida to the Democratic National Presidential Nominating Convention. The lawyers for the Democratic National Committee(DNC) have come to the conclusion that the DRBC can only seat half of the delegations. The DRBC is, however, free to decide whether they want to seat the whole delegation with 1/2 votes, or just half of the delegates. The DRBC is also at liberty to decide about the votes of the FL & MI Superdelegates: Whether the Superdelegates get their votes as a whole group, or if they will only have half their number present(at least that's what I think I heard and read). I also believe that the DRBC decides in what proportion the delegates will be apportioned to the candidates.

Also: A Florida court threw out a lawsuit Wednesday challenging the Democratic Party's decision not to seat delegates from Florida -- as litigants prepared to appeal the case to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Political consultant Victor DiMaio and his lawyer Michael Steinberg had compared the party's decision to earlier prohibitions against allowing African-Americans to vote and invoked the trauma of the Florida recount in the 2000 contest between Al Gore and George W. Bush, both arguments also used by Hillary Clinton to support the seating of the state's delegates.
...
Judge Richard Lazarra sided with the party, saying political parties have the right to make their own rules.(the article can be found here)

I am going to try to get into the DRBC meeting, it is open to the public, but there are only day of credentials left, so I will be up early Saturday morning to get there and get a first hand view of the meeting outcome. That way I can know that what I'm writing is actually factual and not speculation.

Folks are blowing this way outta proportion!!!

Okay, so I have to defend Hillary Clinton, she said that the reason she was staying in the race is because historically, the race has ended in june before! to explain this she told how Bill had campaigned into June, and so had Robert F. Kennedy. To bring up Kennedy, she spoke of his assassination, which I will admit was kinda careless!! But I really don't think she advocates killing Obama, and if she does...in this one instance of White hatred of Blacks, I am truly shocked and appalled!! I was privy to a video from a blog on the GOP.
These rightwing, racist nutjobs on Fox news are getting away with all kinds of dumb shit!! Look at this video:

What kinda shit is this? Why did this bitch laugh??? and kept on going...I really am appalled at the shit that is allowed on that channel, Bill O'Rielly(Read: rich, racist, stupid ass son-of-a-bitch, he claims to espouse the ideals of the common man, but these ignorant fucks are so damn worried about Black folks making it ahead of them that they are willing to allow these rich dummies to ruin our whole way of life!!) talked about lynching Michelle Obama!WTFUUUUCCCKKKKKK???? now this stupid bitch says assassinate Obama...I swear Democrats need to stop being pussies, and let me be their version of Ann Coulter...I swear i would rip these bitches new assholes, right after I slit them from asshole to appetite with my tongue lashing!!!

Bye...watch the video and let me know how you feel!!

Reduced to Begging?? Really??

Y'all, yesterday i was depressed and despondent after reading this: Bush has flown to Saudi Arabia to beg the Saudis to increase their oil output. I am utterly outraged that he has taken to going to beg folks for relief, what kinda bull is that??? Why not invest in renewable or at least American oil?? I mean while the oil in Colorado is expensive to get, but the money would be going to Americans instead foreigners. The Saudi King, Abdullah, told Bush that his country was already meeting consumer needs, and who can blame him for not lowering the prices, doesn't that go against the whole idea of business?? If people are willing to pay that price...why not raise it as high as possible?? And clearly gas isn't high enough, people are still driving everywhere, and cities, states, counties...and any other government are still not investing in improved mass transit. and they aren't issuing orders to ration gasoline(thank God!!)...so I say, once it gets too high things will change...I say let's go green...and not just because it's one of my family names!!! I say let it go up more, once we get tired of paying these relatively low prices, we'll do something about it and begging ain't gonna be one of them!!

Here Bush sits with the King, right before he gets told that they will not lower our prices, he looks like a loser, and since we allowed him to "lead" us we look like a bunch of losers too!!! and it sickens me...hopefully President Obama can do better...He better...otherwise we(read Black Folks) will be seen as some losers, he is getting 90% of our vote...Lawd, JesUs! Help him(read us, Black Folks)!!!

Full-Blooded?? Heritage?? Blood equity??...okay, hat??

As I was surfing this morning, on my daily blogroll, I went to one of my favorite political blogs and read this post about some woman(Kathleen Parker)'s article about why WV residents didn't vote for Obama. okay so this woman quotes this young West VA, "'A full-blooded American.'That's how 24-year-old Josh Fry of West Virginia described his preference for John McCain over Barack Obama. His feelings aren't racist, he explained. He would just be more comfortable with 'someone who is a full-blooded American as president."' So this is crazy, this woman is Jewish, and yet, has the nerve to try to use the same argument against Obama as so many people use against her people. I just don't understand where this is coming from: since Obama is multi-ethnic/multi-racial, he is not a full-blooded American?? What is that exactly?? the only people here who can claim to be full blooded Americans are the native Americans(and there is some argument against that), everyone else is the descendant of some type of immigrant. So this whole nativist hatred of immigrants is unfounded, and utterly appalling. and the fact that this woman characterizes Whites as the "typical Americans" is just stupid....forget being PC...this bitch is off her rocker!!! I wanna know what makes on a typical American, b/c depending on where you are "typical" has a different meaning...at school "typical" means Black, in the US Senate "typical" means White and Rich...so I first need this woman to define terms before she starts to throw them out...enough said read the article, let me know how you feel!!

Breaking News: Sen Edward Kennedy(D-Massachusetts) has been diagnosed as having a malignant glioma. I did some research and found this: Malignant gliomas are the most common primary brain tumor, accounting for more than half of the more than 18,000 primary malignant brain tumors diagnosed each year in the United States. These tumors are the second-most common cause of cancer death in the 15 to 44 age group.

The outlook for patients with malignant gliomas is poor. Median survival for patients with moderately severe (grade III) malignant gliomas is three to five years. For patients with the most severe, aggressive form of malignant glioma (grade IV glioma or glioblastoma multiforme), median survival is less than a year.

Surgery is recommended for all operable brain tumors and is usually followed by radiation therapy. Several studies have shown that adding chemotherapy to radiation can improve patients' survival. In June 2004, after the completion of the current study, researchers announced that adding the drug temozolomide (Temodar®) to radiation therapy increased median survival in patients with glioblastoma multiforme by about two months (see related story). This approach is now considered the standard of care for the initial treatment of these tumors.

IN other news: Barack Obama told the GOP to back off when it comes to Michelle, he told them could say what they want about hime, but get off Michelle. SO what do you think: Is he fair game?? When I watched her later explanation of her remarks...I understood her remarks..she said that for the first time she was proud of the amount of political involvement this race had created. so I don't understand the big hoopla when you look at the whole picture!!!

You stinkin' LIBERAL!!!!

I just really don't understand why being called a liberal is an insult....could someone enlighten me? I read the comments on these articles about politics and it seems that the only "insult" people are able to hurl at Obama(besides naivete, and inexperience) is that he's the most liberal member of the senate. I always thought that was a good thing for Democrats, but now I'm seeing Clinton supporters upset by him being so liberal(and quite frankly, I don't think he's that liberal: there is no way he could have won in Iowa and come really close in Indiana if he was an ultra-liberal like myself!), find something else to complain about in regards to Mr. Obama.

And what is up with this whole GOP attack on Michelle Obama?? I mean they should have attacked Hillary Clinton, she was part of the Clinton administration. Mrs. Obama has made it clear that she will not be another Hillary Clinton(she hates politics, and she has no aspirations) and I really don't think her comments should have very much bearing on Obama's campaign. But I will say that she needs to stop overruling him in public, I mean i have read several articles about her just shutting him down in the middle of making a point, now that's fine in private, but not in public!!

And John McCain has lost several members of his campaign team. Obama seized upon the chance to paint McCain as nothing but "politic as usual": "The fact is, John McCain's campaign is being run by Washington lobbyists and paid for by their money," Obama argued Monday in Billings, Mont. — far from the Beltway. "I'm not in this race to continue the special interest-driven politics of the last eight years. I'm in this race to end it."

And in other news: Ellen is gonna get married to Portia de Rossi. YAY, Ellen!!!

The world is turning upside down...or is it???

Yesterday, California legalized gay marriage when the California Supreme Court ruled that a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has said that should the state legislature decide to amend the constitution, he would not support the amendment. California has once again gone against the mold, just as they did in the issue of interracial marriage, and in the words of San Francisco Mayor, Gavin Newsom, "...as California goes, so goes the nation..."

Also, The Democrats have picked up seats in three strong Republican-leaning districts:
Travis Childers (D) Mississippi 1st District
Don Cazayoux (D) Louisiana 6th District
The Democrats also picked up the seat held by Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert since 1986, the victor, BIll Foster, will represent Illinois's 14th Congressional District.

And the Energy Department has halted adding oil to the government's strategic oil supplies...but I have yet to see gasolne prices go down, and I don't expect to. The story I saw on CNN, said that the oil would be going to produce more diesel fuel, which could help to lower the prices of everyday products in the long run...we can only hope... I'me out!!

Surprise, surprise

John Edwards endorsed Obama, and Hillary said she's staying in! And Bush told Israeli lawmakers that Obama is not concerned with their continued existence(what a crock of crap!!!) and McCain said he wants to work across the aisle, the Senate and house have passed a bill to stop filling emergency reserves of gasoline and oil. That is what I have heard so far, will update when more news is received!

So...Wright has had a history of spewing hatred against Whites??

I found this picture while surfing the net, had no idea it existed! I don't think it makes Hillary a hypocrite, but it does raise questions about why she would bring up the Wright issue in the primary. Rev. Wright had visited the White House and she was there that day, but she isn't demonized by Bill shaking his hand! And why are people trying to infringe upon Rev Wright's right to free speech?? He can say whatever he wants, I don't understand how the ACLU can represent the Nazi when they wanna march in Skokie, Ill(read Jewish enclave), but not one person outside of Black America has the guts to defend him. This is so sad...and so what if he said "God Damn America?" I have heard people say worse things, and its not like his comments were completely off-base! WE (read the US) claim to fight wars to protect and restore the rights of non-citizens, some of whom say worse things about us, but we try ignore the injustice in our own country. We have a history of racism in this country, and I would venture to say that we still do, and we have to understand that people(both Black and White) feel very strongly about racism(whether they agree with it or not)! And I really don't understand why so many White People are "surprised" that he said that: Sunday is the most segregated day of the week!!! I'm sure that White churches have a history of perpetuating racist ideals(think Southern Baptist: it broke from the northern to protest the abolitionist movements, and the same happened with the other major White denominations), but I definitely don't think it affects White politicians in bad ways, I actually think it helps(in some cases)

Pennsylvania...nothing was resolved...so ON TO THE CONVENTION IN DENVER!!

Many people had hoped that the people in Pennsylvania would tell Hillary Clinton to drop out of the Democratic Presidential Nomination race, and yet she is still in the race! I personally don't have any issue with her staying in the race, it is her right to stay in the race as long as there is no obvious nominee(and neither has the 2024 delegates needed to secure it). I can also understand her dropping out...it took her husband until April to win the Nomination in 1992. And once he was declared the nominee, the party coalesced around him. I can only hope that feelings aren't hurt enough to prevent a reconciliation on the floor of the Convention. And I also hope that the Dems have learned from the McGovern mistake and are looking into the backgrounds of potential VPs, even if we don't have a nominee for Pres. yet. I would hate for the ticket be humiliated by something in the VP cand.'s past. But I would like for Clinton(1? 2? 3?) to really consider toning down the rhetoric, we don't need to tear our own candidate down before the other side does. And I wonder why so many Democrats think that there are these vast differences between the policy positions of the two candidates: they both have odd ideas of what universal healthcare(read mandatory insurance) should be, they both wanna get out of Iraq, they both see the value in diplomacy, and they both wanna get rid of tax cuts that hurt the economy more than they help. I have said this to say that people should be willing to vote for Obama if he is the nominee, I mean if Clinton bows out at the convention and endorses him, then accept it and hope for it another time. But I do stand by the statement I have made before, if Clinton doesn't overtake Obama in pledged delegates without poaching his delegates, and is selected by the superdelegates I will be changing my party affiliation and voting for Obama anyway as a write-in...and if that doesn't work...I'll vote for Nader just to make sure she knows she doesn't have a mandate from the people just because our representatives chose her. and I am also willing to vote for another person in my city's congressional primary if my congressman ignores the fact that Obama represents the voice of his constituents. The rationale for this decision is that one doesn't represent me if your ideas aren't in line with mine. Let me know your thoughts on the matter.

Will you just Shut up...please???

Does anyone care what Bob Johnson(founder of BET) have to say about anything? I mean this man founded BET, a channel that I abhor! Bob Johnson is not doing a service to the Democratic Party by pointing out Obama's flaws. He is a true Clintonite, but why does that mean try to destroy the chances of Obama? Obama has already admitted to his recreational drug use as a youngster, Why are we harping on this? And even if a White person wouldn't be in his position, that is not important; look at all of the White people who have become president with even fewer qualifications! Out of 43 presidents we have had nine who didn't attend college, including Harry Truman, George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln. Barack Obama is eminently qualified to be President of the United States, I do not think that he is any more qualified than Hillary Clinton...but the cards just didn't fall into place for her. I do think that Obama is somewhat less polarizing than Clinton, but then again he may be just as polarizing, he is Black and he is liberal, and for some reason being a liberal is wrong! I don't understand why being liberal is seen as bad for so many in the Christian Right...what about us on the Christian Left??? I am a true believer, a born-again Christian, but I still believe that we are no better than anyone else...we have our own flaws(both individually and as a group). I just don't understand why Christians feel the need to tear down a fellow Christian, and I definitely don't understand the need for another Black man to tear down one of our own(Bob Johnson, you are truly that mean ass crab in the bottom of the bucket!!!). I don't even feel that it's right to try to rip Republicans to shreds, I mean we are all humans and all US citizens(or permanent residents)...let's see what is best for the country not who is the nastiest campaigner...and let's regular Americans not be bamboozled by another "swift boat campaign".
Anyway...the whole point of this post was to tell Bob Johnson to Shut his mouth...I mean we've all seen Bambi, and we all know what Thumper's mother said: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!!!

Tuesday, April 15, 2008

Really??? What nerve you have!!

Okay, so here's the issue. Barack Obama was in San Francisco and was at a fund raising event. While at the event he stated that he thought that people in small towns hit hard by the economic downturn are bitter, which is probably a little true(even if not universally true) and that that is why they cling to guns and religion. Okay, so that may not be the reason they like to shoot guns or pray, but I really do believe that here has to be some sort of truth to that, just look at the people that tend to live in small towns: gun-toting, Bible-reading folks. And quite often, when business put the squeeze on, they hit small towns first, where it will have the least political fallout. So, my advice to everyone is to lay off and pay attention to the folks labeling him elitist, they are the ones who have been millionaires for more than 2007. And John McCain is definitely not caring about the little man...he believes in corporate welfare, echoing the flawed sentiments of Ronald Reagan. I wasn't alive to know what Reaganism felt like, but I can guarantee that I feel the after effects. The trickle-down theory is not realistic....the rich get richer and they don't help the poor man anymore...so take back the tax-cuts, they're gonna send the jobs out of the country anyway!! (So why pay them to send the jobs out of the country????) So, how dare they call him elitist!! The Millionaires, at least he is trying to be realistic and not sugarcoat it all! That is all...leave me feedback...I love it!!

Just wondering...what do you think??

Okay, so Hillary Rodham Clinton is becoming a complete loser. Now she is trying to take the pledged delegates that Obama got, I hope she doesn't think that if that happens she has a "mandate form the people" because that would be a complete lie. If somehow Senator Clinton wins the nomination I, for one, will be switching my party registration. I will be joining the populist party and voting for Nader in November, it's the principal, how on earth can she expect us to vote for her when she doesn't have a chance to win the nomination outside of the smoke-filled back rooms of olden days?! Also, I really hope that McCain can't rile up the conservative base, I mean since when does Christian = Republican? I would think that Christians would care about people other than themselves, but I guess not! anyway, I gotta go to class so I'll rant a little later. Also, if anyone is in Atlanta, Please come out to the first ever Spel-House Dance Marathon,Saturday (4-12-08) on the campus of Morehouse College!!!

Hyper-agressive, Hyper-sexualized: the American Black Man

Okay, we're back from the longest hiatus in history. And the beginning fodder is the Lebron and Gisele Vogue cover. On first glance I never saw nay issue with the way they looked. But, upon closer inspection and discussion with my pal Howard, I came to the realization that the picture makes real an idea that pervades the American psyche: The Black man is an overly-sexual, beast that wants to ravage the demure, pure White woman. Where did this come from? Why is it so pervasive? Does it go back to slavery? I would think it is the other way around, the super-sexual White men and the (formerly) powerless Black woman. How is it that things happen to be turned around to vindicate the oppressors, and to indict the oppressed? That is a result of living in, to quote My Fav Professor, a society where Whites are culturally hegemonic! He would also call it the received culture of White supremacy, meaning that the society is built upon the ideal that Whites know best and are necessary for the proper functioning of society. It would also explain the odd (yet not so odd) infatuation that Blacks have with features of White culture, such as straight hair, lighter skin, and sharper, smaller facial features (mainly noses these days, seeing as they are buying bigger lips).
But to get back to where we started, what is up with that cover? I tried to look at it as portraying them as they would look if they were doing their careers, and that could be an argument...but not one I'm buying. I guess we could act like the connotations don't exist, but I have learned that there is no way the producers of the cover didn't think long and hard about the reactions to the picture. They calculated how much this would stir things up, and they were counting on it. They were fully aware of the mega-spectacle that would accompany the publishing of this photo and they were banking on it; I must admit that they were smart to do it! There are so many examples of society not only accepting this portrayal of Black men, but applauding it: Denzel Washington received an Academy Award for Best Actor after he portrayed a corrupt (Black) police officer trying to corrupt the pure-hearted (White)rookie, during the 1988 Presidential campaign Bush (Sr) used the portrait of Willie Horton to scare Americans into voting for him (although Horton was a murderer, look at the video and you'll be able to see that the Bush (Sr) focussed on Black man, but not the others that were also given passes), or look at the Jesse Helms Senatorial Campaign Video.

Poor Old Michigan...Why Kick Them When They're Down

I'm really pissed at the way the two national parties(GOP & DNC) are treating Michigan! The Democrats stripped the Michiganders of their delegates to the DNC, all because the moved up the date of their primary. If the leaders of the Democratic Party had any sense, they would have left all of the delegates (that way the Michiganders would look at the DNC as a party that cares about them). These idiots stripped away the delegates and all of the candidates, except for Mrs. Clinton, have pulled their names from the ballots...way to give a state to the GOP!!! I sincerely hope that the Michiganders don't give themselves over to the GOP (Group Of Pricks), because they also stripped delegates, but at least they still retain half of them. And all of the GOP Candidates that are mattering at this point are on the ballots...Thanks Gov. Dean...you and your acolytes are complete nut-jobs!!!

I am really going to have to pray for the entire State of Michigan. Mighigan has been in a one-State depression for quite some time, 7 straight years of job loss (450,000 jobs), an unemployment rate of 7.4% (higher than the fed rate of 5.0%), an eroding tax base, and an education system that is in a downward spiral. These problems are cyclical, with the exporting of the majority of Manufacturing jobs (thanks to the numerous free trade agreements put into affect by this Bush Administration and the Rubber Stamp that is Congress), the middle-class tax base is shrinking, thereby reducing available funds for education and other social services. As education deteriorates, the young people entering the workforce will be even less qualified to work in industries that pay well, thereby further reducing the tax base and creating an ever declining education system. And with the influx of Illegal immigrants into this country the few available, low-paying jobs won't be given to US citizens...why pay US citizens minimum wage when you can pay others lower wages??? Again, Thanks Guys!! Way to begin the process of sending our country to Hell in a Handbasket!! Please watch the following video of Gov. Granholm, she has such a long haul ahead of her, pray for her!!

Okay, we complain about the ultra-conservative, Ultra-religious...but what about the extreme secularists?? Come on people, we can do so much better!!! Aren't there bigger fish to fry?? Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley’s administration, drawing up plans for a two-tiered licensing system that would issue different driver’s licenses to undocumented aliens and legal residents. Undocumented immigrants would have to prove only that they live in Maryland, but they would not be able to use their licenses to board airplanes, enter federal buildings or cross borders, the Washington Post reports. Taken from freerepublic, click here for more info.

Democratic National Committee, the DNC has stripped both Michigan and Florida of their delegates to the the Democratic National Convention, which will be held at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado August 25-28, 2008. These folks stripped the states of all delegates, while the GOP(Group of Pricks) only stripped 50%, leaving in place some incentive for the voters to participate in the elections on the side of the GOP(Group of Pricks).

Kudos to
New York State Association of County Clerks, for opposing the plan by New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to give licenses to illegal immigrants. ( I know this is from October, but I thought it was relevant to bring up since MD is going down that same path!!)

Hillary Clinton's Alleged Belittling of MLK, JR...Maybe, Maybe Not

I have no doubt that she has the greatest respect for Dr. King, and I'm sure Mrs. Clinton did not intend to belittle King's accomplishments. However, even assuming that's the case, her remarks send a message that "the people don't matter; it's the ones in power who get things done." And that is a bad, a VERY bad message to send. And hillary again gets the WTF?? Award...when will she learn?? you don't alienate people!! Kudos to New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, NYC Death Rate Hits All-Time Low.

Nevada Caucuses Hit Snag...Lawsuit Reminds one of FL Under Jeb Bush...Hmm

Nevada’s state teachers union, as well as six Las Vegas area residents filed a lawsuit late Friday that could make it harder for many members of the state’s large hotel workers union to vote in the hotly contested Jan. 19 Democratic caucus in Nevada. The lawsuit argues that the Nevada Democratic Party's decision, decided late last year, to create at-large precincts inside nine Las Vegas resorts on caucus day violates the state’s election laws and creates a system in which voters at the at-large precincts can elect more delegates than voters at other precincts. The lawsuit employs a complex mathematical formula to show that voters at the other 1,754 precincts would have less influence with their votes. The at-large precincts are being established because thousands of hotel workers cannot leave work to participate in the midday caucuses in their home precincts. The Nevada State Education Association has said it would not endorse any Democrat, but some of its top officials have endorsed Mrs. Clinton. Click on the title, it links to an article that goes further in-depth. I'm not gonna touch this...I don't live in Nevada, and don't know all of the ins-and-outs. Just wanted to put it out there.

Really?? Makes Me Wonder If They're Really Thinking!

Okay folks, I was watching Lou Dobbs Tonight again. I just have to point out that he and I are on the exact same wave length (as far as politics, anyway). So today I'm gonna rant about the Real ID Act, which would make it (virtually) impossible for illegals to get driver's Licenses. I don't really understand how our representatives minds work, this law will not be implemented for another 9 (yes, nine) years--thats 16 years after September 11, 2001. I mean this law is supposed to keep illegals from boarding planes, which is how they ran into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. I mean seriously, is there any clearer example of dereliction of duty?? Driver's licenses to illegal immigrants?? I don't understand how ILLIEGAL immigrants can be entitled to the same rights as I, a citizen of this country. I pay taxes, I perform community service, I obey laws and know how to drive. But someone that breaks the law is entitled to the EXACT same right as me?? Come on CONGRESS!!!! Why are you pandering to people who don't even have the right to vote??? I mean dang, can I get some consideration?? I vote and pay taxes, you should care what I think!! Enough about that..it'll just make me have a heart attack.

Okay starting now there are gonna be two awards given out in every (almost) new post. I will be giving Kudos to some politician that is doing the job they were hired for, and the WTF?? award to a politician that really can't be thinking straight. So for the inauguration of the awards I give you:
Kudos to Mike Cox the Attorney General of Michigan. Mr. Cox said the smartest thing I've heard in this debate over whehter or not ILLIEGAL immigrants are entitled to driver's licenses. He asked how people who aren't legal residents of the United States be legal residents of Michigan, and using sound reasoning, came to the conclusion that it's impossible and that they are therefore not entitled to Driver's Licenses! Hooray!! Someone with sense!!!

Kudos go out to Frank Jackson, the Mayor of Cleveland, OH. Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson is suing Wall Street over the U.S. economy-threatening subprime lending crisis. Jackson, a Democrat, filed his suit against 21 banks in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, naming venerable institutions such as Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo for creating a public nuisance. The mayor contends the companies irresponsibly bought and sold high-interest home loans to people who had "no realistic means of keeping up with their loan payments," resulting in widespread defaults that depleted the city's tax base and left entire neighborhoods in ruins, the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reported. City officials hope to recover hundreds of millions of dollars in damages, including lost taxes from devalued property and money spent tearing down or boarding up thousands of abandoned houses. "To me, this is no different than organized crime or drugs," Jackson said in an interview with Plain Dealer reporters and editors. "It has the same effect as drug activity in neighborhoods. It's a form of organized crime that happens to be legal in many respects." (this was taken from http://www.politicalgateway.com/news/read/124315)

WTF?? to Hillary Clinton, Senator from New York, and Democratic Presidential Candidate. Mrs. Clinton was heard to tell a crowd that there are no illegal women, and no illegal men, either. Now I wonder what she means?? does she mean that people who have crossed the border into our country without proper permissions are here legally?? does she mean that anyone who harbors a desire to live here can come here with no consequences?? I just don't understand!! Pardon me Mrs. Clinton, but would you mind answering this Question?? WTF do you mean?? I would love to hear from you!

In other News, I will be in South Carolina on Saturday to canvass for Barack Obama, in his quest for the Presidency. I defintely need to request my ballot form Missouri, so that I can vote for him. I would prefer John Edwards, but I'll take who I think would be the second best.

Don't we have bigger Fish to Fry??

Okay folks, I just have to put this out here. Just because someone makes an ignorant sounding remark doesn't mean we should get all up-in-arms about it. I mean, why waste time getting mad at Kelly Tilghman, Tiger Woods isn't suing her...why are we after her blood? I really don't understand how we can sit here and try to judge her for using words that are part of the English language. So she said they should take Tiger out and lynch him in a back alley...so what? Does that affect your life?? No, and I seriously doubt that she meant it in a racist manner. I mean Black people don't have a monopoly on being lynched. I think that we have bigger fish to fry in this country, especially regarding the state of Black America. I mean how many of us are actually gonna go out and meet with the administrators at our schools?? I mean these people have more of an effect upon your life than Kelly Tilghman, and yet, when time comes to make some changes to how things work, How many of us get up and go to the free, public school board meetings? I went to quite a few when I was in high school, it was a sad turn out. But then we wanna get mad when someone says something about lynching Tiger Woods?? Give me a break! Stop addressing these ignorant rantings (if that is what they are) and exercise you rights as an American citizen to change things you can change. You cannot force someone to not be racist, it's just silly to believe that you can. So let's make some changes that are within our grasp. Vote in the Next municipal, county, State, School board, Presidential, Congressional elections. We Don't have to get so mad about trivial bullshit! I'm out!

The Way We Are...Hopefully One Day This Will Be The Way We WERE!!

Okay, so I'm sitting here watching "Lou Dobbs Tonight" with my buddies...and I can't help but think, "what is going on in this country????" I mean how can we cut funding to some of the biggest issues in the USA??? So Bush has cut funding to education, anti-drug programming, and any number of other social programs. But, I have to be fair, our Democratic Congress, with their mandate from the people, have NOT done all that they can to stop this lunatic.

I still try so hard to understand why people elected Bush again...you know, I can understand the first time. But TWICE????? Come on people! I sincerely believe that President Bush is doing his best to ruin the US before he leaves office. I can't believe that he really thinks that his choices are for the best, if he really does...all I can say is DAMN!!! He must really be stupid! This does not bode well for the US. We must be completely stupid, or maybe we're just too nice...you know wanting to give him another chance. Whatever the reason...get over it!! We have to do what is best for our country. Whether you are conservative or liberal, we have got to realize that the way things are is not going to cut it!

Why is it that the template of democracy is the democracy with the lowest voter turn out?? I mean people, get over your apathy...why be apathetic when you can be proactive?? If you don't like the way things are change them...and don't give me that my vote doesn't count crap. If your vote doesn't count, run for office...because I can guarantee there are others that agree with you! And look on the bright side, even if you don't win, at least you'll have brought your issue to the forefront...the establishment candidates may adopt your ideas...and when they fail to honor those commitments you can run and point out their flaws. Or, as Michael Moore says in Downsize This, just forget about the politicians and elect the special interests, I mean they run the country anyway...at least that way...we know what to look for from the get go, I mean why should they get rich off of us...let them suffer the way we do and let them work and be subject to the whims of the special interests, just like us. I mean since the voters don't have whims, they should be subject to someones whims.

Please respond, I love to dialogue!
